Friday lecture and entertainment
Friday 22 August
The festival commenced with a talk on the McGovern Clan by Fr. Liam Kelly in Templeport Resource Centre.
A refreshment break followed consisting of tea/ coffee, cakes/biscuits and other light refreshments.
Entertainment followed performed by Swanlinbar Comhaltas, a ballad group called Éirú and the evening closed with a performance by the Lough Oughter Ceili Band.
Bawnboy Heritage provided a free bus to and from the venue from Glangevlin and Swanlinbar.
The event was attended by approximately 60 people.
